Art history scholar with specialty in the history of art by women. World-traveled expert with up-close and personal study of the art in 306 art museums in Europe, North America, and Australia. Experienced in classroom instruction and course development in a variety of subjects for adults.
Objective
To present a brown-bag lunchtime lecture called “The Five Most Famous Women Artists in Bay Area History” as a guest speaker in the Triton’s excellent series on art history.
Preparation and Education
- Toured 186 art museums in the U.S. including almost all the major cities and many smaller towns.
- Toured 120 art museums in Italy, France, Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Vienna Prague, St. Petersburg, Moscow, London, Sydney and Melbourne.
- Photographed and documented the most important art in each museum, gradually building a vivid knowledge of art history.
- Completed several excellent short courses and lectures from Preston Metcalf at the Triton Museum.
- Completed course on the Women of Art History from Magda Madriz, M.A. Art history; Santa Clara Adult School.
- Graduate work in Cinema and Theater Arts, UCLA.
- General Secondary Credential, State of California.
- B.A. in English and Speech, UCLA.
